In the opinion of many experts, Remy Hair Extensions are what gives the users the most natural looking head of hair after the extension process. What are Remy Hair Extensions? They are extensions carried out with human hair which still has the cuticles attached. Cuticles are the thin outer layers which surrounds each shaft of hair on the human head and the specialty of Remy hair is that it leaves it be. You must be sure though that you are not saddled with hair which is not Remy although it may still be human hair. This is hair which doesn’t retain the cuticles. The only way to look absolutely natural is through genuine Remy Hair Extensions.

One of the reasons why people shy away from using Remy Hair Extensions is that it is definitely the most expensive of the extension processes. You can get yourself an extension with hair made out of synthetic fibers but because they do not contain cuticles, the new mop of hair will look dry and get tangled up. The reason for their tangling is that cuticles are all aligned in the same direction and this is what prevents the hair from getting tangled and matted. Without these cuticles, the synthetic hair will tangle up. So, although it may cost a little more, you will benefit from Remy Hair Extensions because nobody will be able to tell that the extended hair is not your own.

The Hair Extension Process is gradually becoming extremely popular as more and more women grow increasingly conscious about their appearance. In fact, the psychological effect of “looking good” boosts a woman’s confidence so much that it is indeed worth the effort for ladies to try and look as attractive as they can. And, as one of the primary aspects of a woman’s appearance is her hair, it is important that due care is taken to keep her “crowning glory” looking shiny and lustrous. Unfortunately, not everyone can boast of hair which is naturally beautiful but the answer for such ladies lies in the process of hair extension. This involves attaching real or synthetic hair to a person’s own hair so that she appears to be blessed with a thicker and fuller growth than is actually the case.

However, before you actually visit a salon to start on the process, there are a few details which you should be aware of. The most important of these is concerning the hair that is going to be used for your hair extension. This will determine not only how good you look but also how long your extension lasts. If the quality of the hair used in the extension process is poor, you could end up with dry, brittle hair which tangles up constantly. And before too long, you might have to go through the process again because the extended hair doesn’t look good anymore. So, let us give you some advice on the types of hair you could choose from for the extension.

Basically, there are two types of hair for you to choose from; the human hair extension and the synthetic hair extension. Synthetic hair is made from man-made fibers to look like human hair. But frankly, it cannot replicate natural hair absolutely perfectly as the sheen it produces is not the same as that produced by human hair. Also, it moves differently so it doesn’t blend perfectly with your own hair. This is where the Remy Human Hair scores because this variety retains the “cuticle” which is present on the hair shaft. The “cuticle” surrounds this shaft and it is made up of overlapping layers of long cells. They exist on the surface of the head and are aligned in the same direction. It is these “cuticles” which prevent the hair from getting tangled because of this alignment. Also, the “cuticle” locks in essential moisture and protects the hair from the elements. This is why hair with “cuticle’ looks so shiny as light reflects from their glossy surface. However, Remy Human Hair is quite a bit more expensive than the man-made variety and you will have to take a call on spending less money and getting hair which firstly, is not an exact replication of your natural hair, and two, which may not last too long. Or you could spend more and obtain Remy hair which nobody will know, is not your own.

We had discussed the various methods of hair extension in our previous article. Let us now try and give you an idea of the varieties of hair extensions that are used in this process. Very basically, you can either use extensions that are made out of human hair or those made out of synthetic material. By and large, hair made out of synthetic fibers is cheaper than the extensions made out of human hair unless you go in for something really fancy such as mono filament hair pieces. The synthetic materials most generally used are Kanekalon and Toyokalon and these are available in a very wide range of textures and colors. But for those who are really looking for high quality extensions, human hair is what unquestionably looks the most natural and it lasts three times longer than the synthetic variety.

India and some of the other Asian countries are where most of the human hair comes from. This is because some of the religious rituals in those countries require the devotees to have their heads tonsured and so a large amount of “virgin” or totally unprocessed hair comes from there. The term also indicates that the hair has not been colored, permed or straightened. The way “virgin” hair is collected is by tying the hair to maintain the direction of the cuticle and then cutting it. This way, because all the cuticles run in the same direction, the hair doesn’t get tangled. The end result will be that you will display beautiful hair once you complete the hair extension process.

There is another aspect of hair extension which is worth discussing here and that is the Remy human hair which is sometimes used in the process of extension. “Remy” hair is generally sourced from East European countries and is taken off from youthful Caucasian girls. When compared with Asian hair, it is thinner and lighter per strand and is also more expensive. The specialty of Remy hair is that it includes the cuticle that is present on the hair shaft. Human hair contains a thin outer layer and Remy leaves it be. This results in the hair being and feeling pretty close to natural and not tangling easily. In turn, this ensures that the hair extension lasts longer and stays shiny and attractive although the initial expense will be more.

When all is said and done, your budget will probably be the deciding factor in what type of hair you choose to use for your extension. But if you are going in for the process anyway, wouldn’t it be more confidence-boosting to come away with a head of hair that will be the envy of all the girls on your block and beyond?
